The One Where We Raked a Difference

We had another temple trip. This man got there at the same time as us and had exactly 4 females names that needed endowments done. It was pretty neat. And we had exchanges that day, I was with Sister Vehikite and Sister Randall went with Sister Lavoie. Problem is, I'm super still a trainee and usually just follow Sister Randall everywhere so I had to kind of take charge of the area and it didn't work too well. But Sister Vehikite is way cool and it was a lot of fun, even though our appointments all canceled on us.

Alex Boye came and spoke at mlc (a big meeting for mission leaders) and everyone was invited to that part, so we got to see that a bit. It was awesome, he is the most energetic speaker I've ever seen, jumping and shouting all over the place! He talked a lot about the power of thought, and told us all to write down our expectations for our mission, to get "extra with it!" and if we bring this list to God, He would say "is that it? That's all you want?" It was really interesting and stuff. Also we rode the bus again and that bus driver who called us out actually gave us a referral!

On Saturday we and a ton of other missionaries all helped with Kathy's "Rake a Difference" fundraiser. We raked and bagged leaves in return for donations for the free health clinic. It was super awesome and quite exhausting and it made a huge impact on Kathy! Also Sister Randall got a gnarly splinter and Elder Kerr jumped in a pile of leaves for the first time. Later that day while tracting, this guy opened the door with these tiny lil kittens and he let us hold them and they were so freaking cute!

So we both had to give talks on Sunday and I totally finished writing mine on the stand. It was a little rough but our recent convert Tabitha brought us flowers! It was so sweet! The rest of the day was kind of a downer, Sunday afternoon lull and *cough* cringing about my talk *cough* and all that jazz. We knocked a door on a street that had been giving us a ton of pretty rude rejections, but Grace answered and oh my goodness! She was just so nice and sweet and came out on the porch and asked us about our day and was so genuinely warm and kind and interested, asked for our number because she had company coming soon. But yeah that gave my mood a complete 180! I want to be nice! It really changes so much!

Monday we had zone conference at this cool old church building in Paris, Idaho (so p-day got moved to Tuesday). We got to watch The Christ Child video again! It's super awesome and I can't wait until it's released for all of you to see, I'm getting real excited for Light the World, y'all!

P.s. imma ask about anger again because I didn't get many responses and I'm still pondering this stuff. So, what is the purpose of anger? What are good qualities or outcomes of anger? What would we be without it?
