The One Where We Done Got Sick

Companion's Log
Stardate: Nov 26-Dec 3, 2019

So for interviews this transfer President Southward wants to instead spend 30 minutes doing missionary work with each companionship. Well he's got a car so we took advantage of that opportunity to go around delivering plates of treats with invitations to our ward Christmas parties. One invitation was to Kathy so we got to introduce her to president. She told us we helped raise over $8000 for the free health clinic with Rake a Difference!

So my "permanent" retainer broke and I had to go get it fixed which ended up taking forever, and our appointments for that day canceled. We went to the family history center for Sister Randall to do college hour but it turns out they were closed early. But it all worked out in the end because there's this referral we've been missing for weeks. She was never home every time we tried. But as we were walking home we saw her pull up and go inside and we were like !!!!! We've had quite a few people say "we just got home, it's not a good time, we're putting away groceries" and stuff like that, but Angie said "we just got home, perfect timing!" and let us right in! She says we're the first people to come by since she moved in in October.

Okay Thanksgiving! We did some more service with Jeanne painting and cutting things for her craft show. We had two Thanksgivings, one of which was the relief society president's family reunion dinner. Our Astralian zone leader, Elder Wilson (yes the orbies guys from my first day) called us after 3 dinners and said America humbled him, brought him to his knees. We got to call home which was cool because I'd missed the past two weeks so I surprised them!

Aaaaaaaand Sister Randall and I both got sick! I had a fever/chills, now it's more cold/cough. It's okay though, I think it's just Heavenly Father way of making sure I got a blessing, I really should have asked for one last week. We had a little birthday party for Elder Savage at district council, then we took a sick day, which was a little sad because we had to miss the light parade, our stake had a Light the World float.

We pushed through the next day, went to 2 baptism, had another lesson with Neilza (it's been really hard to get a hold of her) and a part-member family we're teaching had us over for dinner. After church on Sunday we took another sick day, watched Inspired Guns and Trek. Bears at girls camp, kids dying at high adventure, fist fights and broken legs at trek, mafia and undercover FBI agents on missions, why do church movies make everything seem so dang eventful?! Yeah that's about it, we're still sick it's less than cool
