The One Where We Had a Waffle Frolic!

Companion's Log
Stardate: Feb 4-10, 2020

Well yet another crazy long yet fast week.
We had a district temple trip on Tuesday which was cool except that spiritual experiences are exhausting whether you wake at 5 beforehand or not, so our brains were all wack the rest of the day. It was also Carmelita's birthday so we took the Elders with us to sing to her!

Met with Katelynn's mom. Aghhh yeah idk. It was good, we made up and stuff but I still ended up crying for like an hour I don't really know why. Katelynn still needs some time, we'll see. I'm trying really hard not to blame myself for everything but I still feel like I messed up and it's all on me even if we didn't really do anything wrong. I'm coming to better understand forgiveness and charity. Christ told His disciples "as I have loved you, love one another" he also told them "greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." Charity is the pure love of Christ, and Christ-like love is sacrificial.

Okay kinda in a weird headspace this week idk, just feeling kinda off and unmotivated. But we pushed through and had a cool little miracle. My brain was not working at all during comp study and we decided to take a nap on the church floor for a bit. But then we forced it, went out and did. We tried some people, I had a thought to try this family we usually try on Saturdays. I didn't say anything about it yet but then Sister Lewis mentioned them too, so prompting confirmed! That already doesn't ever really happen for me. But then almost right after we started walking, acted on that prompting, Grace called and invited us over, the Lord provided, and we got to have an awesome lesson this her and Martin!

We also met this kinda crazy previously taught guy and ended up talking with him about existential everything for 3 freakin hours lol! Helped out at a relief society souper saturday, and taught a young women class about Joseph Smith and it was dope. We got transfer info on Saturday. Sister Lewis and I are going back to our own areas with new companions, and neither of us are training so don't know what I was freaking out about all transfer lol. Elder Sorensen on the other hand is greenie-breaking as a trainer and district leader, poor kid. And Elder Savage is leaving :,( Yup but I actually feel so much better now that that stressor has been lifted off, I didn't realize quite how much it overwhelmed me until it was gone.

Anyways, taught my district the incredible history of waffle frolics so of course we had one on pday! Amazing. And we did our last pday dnd for the foreseeable future :( but it was a hiest one shot so it was hecka cool
