The One Where I Experienced an Earthquake

Companion's Log
Stardate: Mar 30-April 5, 2020

Yesterday was my 200th day as a missionary. Yup.

So not much going on because you know. But I forgot to mention last week that we put Jason on date, it's awesome, I had nothing to do with it obviously and don't even know the guy but that's cool!
There was a 6.5 earthquake near Boise, we got some aftershocks, the house swayed for a few seconds, so no big deal but it was my first time! Lol bc I didn't notice the little one Michigan had a few years ago.

I won mini clue with the sisters, practiced my Russian accent a bit. We had a "mission conference" over Zoom, it was cool we got some motivation and ideas. I climbed a tree! Got to play Codenames over Zoom with my family. Had some awesome personal and comp studies, and some video lessons.

And the moment we've all been waiting for, the memorable and unforgettable Bicentennial general conference!! Wow wow wow! Man it's hard to believe that was just yesterday, it feels almost like when I went through the temple for the first, mind all blurry, spiritually saturated. It was awesome, loved it, can't wait to reread like all the talks. I love conference because most of the time I can get at least something from every speaker, there's always something that stands out to me personally, something I needed to hear or that helps begin to answer a question or concern of mine. James A Rasband was my favorite almost cried, also really liked Douglas D Holmes, Jean B Bingham and Dale G Renlund. There's so much I don't really know what to share, it's a little hard to sort through, and like I said a lot of it is personal and I know all of you will get something else out of it that applies to you and your situation.

But yeah, I love conference, I love the prophet and apostles, I love the Book of Mormon, I love the church, I love all of the inspired changes over the years (esp Come Follow Me and the new youth program). I love the emphasis on Hearing Him, seeking and acting on personal revelation, a lifelong pursuit. I love all the beautiful truths we have because of the Restoration especially about the true loving parental nature of our Heavenly Father.

P.s. we have to wear masks now lol. Also we went to our church to watch conference but our phones wouldn't connect and the computers don't have speakers so this was my first little one on one conference
