So to start off our pday last week we had a mission wide zoom call in which they gave us the news. We can now go into homes as long as we wear masks and try to social distance. So wow wow wow. Honestly I was pretty nervous about this, it's still gonna be interesting adjusting back to the normal schedule after all this time. But it was so cool to have meals with members again! And we had a lesson with Carol, completely different in person than she was over the phone, she was so much more engaged!

It got hot here it's gross lol, made it hard to sleep for a few nights. Which is good because we got up super early for a sun rise hike with the sisters. It was pretty fun and cool. But now here's what I was looking forward to all week! Got to go on exchange with Sister Lewis and road trip to Pocatello together because Rhiannon got baptized on Saturday! Sister Lewis and I taught her first lessons and put her on date when we were together! It was awesome, we got to see her bew baby too, and we did a presentation on the Plan of Salvation. It was so interesting to teach together again wow. I'm so happy for Rhiannon and her family. She has had a rough life and seen some really hard times but she is a beautiful single mom and she has come so far!

It was weird and good to see Pocatello again. We had lunch with Sister Stichart too, it was great to be with my old comps, I was kinda nervous about coming back...oof. The drive back felt a lot faster, Lewis and I got to have some great discussions and you know crying sessions, classic us, good times. It was good though!

So this week had some hard times, some ups and downs, per usual. It seems to be going better now though so idk. Also I've been kind of nauseous the past few days which wasn't too fun. Throughout our dinner messages, lessons and coincidences, the theme of the week seemed to be hope. I learned that the symbol for hope is an anchor and I really like that.

Ether 12: 4 Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God.

Hope in our culture is often uncertain, could almost be replaced by the word "doubt." But in the scriptures it is steadfast and sure, based on our faith in God's promises. This is something I'm going to work on, building up my hope.
