7 day Bible Challenge
Day 1
I was challenged by my awesome friend Allainze Jade Toyhacao Makiling to post one Bible verse everyday for 7 days. The objective is to spread God's word on fb "that it may become more viral than covid-19"
I was also inspired by my awesome friend Hannah Potter (whom I'm now nominating) to add my own twist, so I'm going to try to paint a little something for each verse this week.
Psalms 8:3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
I love the stars, planets, space, the most awe inspiring of God's creations. Every once in awhile I have that little existential moment when I realize the eternal expanse of the universe and just how small we really are, everything we know on just a pale blue dot. But that just makes it even more amazing that Heavenly Father knows and loves each of us personally. He is aware, He is with us.
Sorry it's a little late, ran out of time yesterday to finish this one 😅
Matthew 10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered
31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows
The worth of souls is great in the sight of God
Today I invite Rachel Payton to post one Bible verse everyday for 7 days and to nominate a friend each day to do the same. The objective is to spread God's word on fb "that it may become more viral than Covid-19"
I painted this for a favorite verse of mine
1 Corthinians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him
But I see now that it always works pretty well with:
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Sometimes we are asked to take steps into the dark, leaps of faith, to put ourselves in His hands. But whose hands are better than His? Who could we trust more than He who knows all things?
Today I invite Maddie Nicole to post one Bible verse everyday for 7 days and to nominate a friend each day to do the same. The objective is to spread God's word on fb "that it may become more viral than Covid-19"
Day 4
Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
If it wasn't clear by my other paintings, blue is my favorite color haha. I've discovered that this is my favorite shade of blue, the blue of a rising dawn, a serene color of hope and new beginnings.
