The One Where I Finished Inktober...in Mid November
Companion's Log
Stardate: Nov 16-Dec 6, 2020
Sooo it's now been three weeks, sorry, and I don't really remember what's been happening lol still very far behind in my journal so who knows.
So let's see we did more Rake a Difference and bell ringing and stuff. We had a zone conference down in Montpelier. I really loved President Nelson's video about gratitude. And I really loved thinking about and posting what I'm grateful for, it was really cool. I definitely noticed a difference and felt a lot of love and happiness.
I finally finally finished inktober though and it was great! But also strange, like I feel like Indigo Montoya when he finally killed Count Rugen and fulfilled his purpose in life, like what now? I'm really grateful I decided to do this crazy project, it took a lot but I'm really happy with how it turned out and I really loved the opportunities to learn. The Lord truly does speak to us in personal and individual ways, for me I was able to receive little insights and inspiration while I worked on some of these pieces and I really loved that. I highly recommend it, find a way that God speaks to you through your talents, skills, interests, the things that are important to you, because He knows you personally and it's important to Him too.
I did another exchange with Sister Wilson and maybe had a little breakdown but it was all good. The spiral is still the thing, you get stuck and one thing leads to another and it can be hard to get out of that. Okay Thanksgiving! We had a turkey bowl pancake breakfast thing with the zone, I stayed inside and played with puppies instead. Still can't eat in members homes so we had Thanksgiving with the district, it was fun. We met some homie members! Ah it was so great! We visited with them when we went to pick up dinner and talked about their son who just started his mission, and we bonded over music and they let us play their guitar and mandolins (including an octave mandolin and using an amp!) and then as we are leaving Brother DeGarmo let me borrow one of his mandolins so now I can play!! It was awesome, so happy.
And for some reason the next day had another mood swing or something and spiral and anxiety idk but it was pday and I just couldn't stop crying and literally didn't leave the house all day. It took a bit but I figured some of it out the next few days and now I'm doing a lot better. Said goodbye to Sister Lewis the day before she went home, can't believe she finished her mission it's heckin wack! And I held a tarantula, they have sticky feet. And Happy St. Nikolaus Day!
