The One Where I Done Finally Made Some Arts yee

Companion's Log Stardate: April 20-26, 2020 It was a good week! Well it started that way at least, didn't get as lucky by the end but I still feel alright about it. I think the main thing that makes me feeling optimistic right now is knowing that I am learning and growing so much. And reminding myself when I'm not feeling the best that there is an opportunity to learn. I've come to really appreciate quarantine. It's tough, some days are real rough, but I'm so grateful for all this extra time we have to finally practice talents and study. Before the missionary schedule was so packed and busy I never had much time to draw, and I had so much I wanted to study that I never got to with the one hour of personal study time. This week I was able to study my patriarchal blessing for almost 2 hours, it was amazing and I learned so much and felt so good and full of love for everyone around me. So I'm grateful for these opportunities. I also got to paint this ...

The One Where I Ate like 6 Crickets

Companion's Log Stardate: April 13-19, 2020 Alright so another week in quarantine goes by, honestly the days all blur together. We called and texted and called and texted people, watched the Fighting Preacher, painted a bit with our Stl, caught up on the Book of Mormon videos, but like what's the point if there's no Gideon? Seriously! They skipped like my favorite story, of Ammon and King Limhi, it's so good and I'm so sad they skipped it! So on Friday we made a program and set up six chairs then the next day we watched Jason's baptism over a facebook live. Yup only six people are allowed at baptisms right now, which is sad bc Jason's fiancee has six kids. But it was still amazing. It's so cool to me that the Holy Ghost has no barriers, He is not limited by time or distance. As soon as we started watching the live I could feel the Spirit. I may not know him too well but I'm really excited for Jason! I know Heavenly Father is proud of him for h...

Companion's Log Stardate: April 6-12, 2020 Honestly I don't even know anymore, it feels like we are slowly wasting away, and yet we are also teaching more lessons (through tech) than before quarantine? We also had interviews with President, went to a river that was nice, watched 17 Miracles, I had some severe art block which is frustrating because I finally have time to actually draw! But I did get some in. I've also been learning some ukelele. Okay April 10th was the Worldwide fast! It was interesting, I kind of studied all day long? I started around 9:30am, took a little nap somewhere in there and when I finished I looked at the clock at it was 5pm. Idk how it happened, I don't even feel like I learned that much? I kind of had a little mental breakdown the day before, I don't really know how to explain it all but basically I was pretty discouraged and had felt like I needed to ask for a blessing for awhile. So I finally did but it kind of fell short ...

The One Where I Experienced an Earthquake

Companion's Log  Stardate: Mar 30-April 5, 2020 Yesterday was my 200th day as a missionary. Yup. So not much going on because you know. But I forgot to mention last week that we put Jason on date, it's awesome, I had nothing to do with it obviously and don't even know the guy but that's cool! There was a 6.5 earthquake near Boise, we got some aftershocks, the house swayed for a few seconds, so no big deal but it was my first time! Lol bc I didn't notice the little one Michigan had a few years ago. I won mini clue with the sisters, practiced my Russian accent a bit. We had a "mission conference" over Zoom, it was cool we got some motivation and ideas. I climbed a tree! Got to play Codenames over Zoom with my family. Had some awesome personal and comp studies, and some video lessons. And the moment we've all been waiting for, the memorable and unforgettable Bicentennial general conference!! Wow wow wow! Man it's hard to believe t...
