Companion's Log  Stardate: June 23-28, 2020 Okay so on pday I dmed a one shot for the first time!! Ah! Yeah it was cool, kind of a mess idk, a bunch of elders here wanted to learn how to play dnd, it was fun, they're cool, I hope they liked it. Well I guess they did because they want to keep playing, but I don't really know what I doing so we'll see. It's cool because I actually got to talk about it with Carol, one of the people we're teaching, she used to play dnd when she was in college. 3 other people we work with mentioned dnd this week, so we'll see what the future holds?? Ot was cool to connect with Carol a little better, I was always pretty quiet with Ales, but Lavoie is much more personable and stuff, cares about people as people, beyond just teaching principles, getting to know them for real. Companion's Log Stardate: June 15-22, 2020 Wowza it's strange looking back on this week. Basically I just suffered through until transfers on Thursday, lol. We had dinner with Tom and Susan then shot off some bottle rockets and firecrackers with them. Went over for Jade's birthday which was cool. I was dying inside though, died inside at transfers too. Man, it took forever haha.  Finally got with my new companion, Sister Lavoie. I thought I'd feel relief and start going back to who I want to be but I think it's going to be a little bit more complicated than that, a longer impact. It will be an adjustment period for sure. I felt so strange and off and all over the place this week idk. Sister Lavoie has been through something similar with one of her past comps so she totally understands, she is so sweet, such a blessing. Our area was also moved to the Rupert zone, so we have a new zone and a new district. I like it, a fresh start. It was my halfway mark too, I've ...

Companion's Log Stardate: June 9-14, 2020 Holy freak this was like the longest week ever! I don't even know anymore, honestly. I'm just so tired. So yeah okay, we exercised with Edie and did some service helping clear up fallen willow tree branches, it was great but physically exhausting. Then we had exchanges and oh boy, here comes the emotional exhaustion. Wowza. So Sister Lavoie and I stayed up a quite awhile talking and man it was a lot. We didn't have exchanges last transfer bc of quarantine and man did I need this. Just kinda showed me how much I've been affected by these past two transfers, and this companionship. It was a lot to think about (and yeah know...cry about). Felt like I was waking up, remembering all the parts of who I am and who I want to be as a missionary that have kind of been suffocating. But it also showed me that once we transfer this week it will go back to normal and I can get back on track.  I still don't really understand everything...

Companion's Log  Stardate: June 1-7, 2020 Okay so on p-day I taught the sisters the little bit of capoeira that I remember, twas fun. Also working on another painting for President, haven't finished it yet though bc we have less free(ish) time now. We've been having lot of lessons and stuff with Meredith, she is so awesome! She's doing a lot better, there is a noticable change in her from just a week or so ago. She tells us about spiritual experiences she's had in the past and she loves listening to worship music. I'm excited for her, helped me to regain some of that motivation I had kind of lost, and remember why I want to be a missionary and stuff. It's interesting how similar we are in some regards. I think she is at least one of the reasons why I'm here in this area. I forgot to say last week that we had my first district council since I got transferred out here! It was great, I've missed that!
