The One Where We Had a Sunrise Baptism

Companion's Log Stardate: Sept 21-27, 2020 So I'm officially a whole week behind in my journal so idk what happened this week. Well big moments actually, lol First Elder Braun made me lemon bars for my one year, they were really good! Thanks bro. On Tuesday we put Dan'l on date to be baptised! This was my second lesson with him, but actually only his third time meeting with the sisters so I didn't miss much. Dan'l is awesome, he married a lezs active member last year so his awesome wife has helped him a lot, also great fellowship from Brother Forest. But especially cool is that Dan'l works painting in the under construction Pocatello temple, he was able to recognize the sweet spirit he felt at work and sought it out. So excited for him We had mission conference on Wednesday. First time since it all went down in March. They had cattle guards to separate the zones lol so only got to briefly talk to my friends a little bit. Brad Willcox came! It was cool, he talked...

Companion's Log  Stardate: Sept 14-20, 2020 Okay so, played dnd with my new district, Elder Braun and Dewey and their friend Eli (who was Dewey's comp in Honduras before he was reassigned here, where Eli lives). Twas fun Got hecka stressed for Meredith basically all week! She needs help moving and stuff and texts me a lot even though I'm not in the area anymore. So I try to coordinate with the other missionaries and they aren't very helpful and it was a crazy mess that seemed to just keep getting worse for Meredith and her stress too. Just frustrating because there wasnt much I could actually do. It finally got sorted out though. Just had trouble breathing for a few days haha and at the end of it I got sick, maybe partly bc of it idk. But I also had a beautiful moment with Meredith that made me want to happy cry so it was all worth it. I love her. Gahh wish I could keep teaching her though! Also I ranted/vented a crap ton to Sister Wendel which helped a lot and I thin...

The One Where I Got Yoyo Transferred (and it gave me whiplash)

Companion's Log Stardate: Sept 7-13, 2020 Went to Steadmans again for pday, it was fun but it was hecka windy, power went out at our dinner too, turns out we had leftover hurricane winds or something.  We did another watercolor class! It was fun, can't believe it took me this long to do something like this on my mission. Started packing and saying goodbyes :'( dang, I skipped this part last time bc the transfer was so sudden. Not sure which I prefer. I've been in Heyburn for a long time and have had some pretty sad times here that I'll be glad to put behind me. But I love a lot of these people and I miss them. And bam I'm back in Poky. Oh my freaking goodness has it been strange. I can see my old area from here. It was actually pretty rough. Took a sec to adjust, I think I was hoping for a fresh start to get back into the swing of things but instead my motivation felt even worse than before. I felt really wrong when I got here and I don't really know why. ...

Companion's Log  Stardate: Aug 31-Sept 6, 2020 Had a cool contact with Carolyn and Colton, a referral from our bishop. It was really cool! Then had dinner with Tom and Susan.  So a while back our relief society president Sister Kloepfer mentioned that she wants to learn how to paint watercolors, I told her if she invited a nonmember I could teach a class. So finally after all this time we got a lesson set up, there ended up being 10 people there! I was stressing and it was pretty rushed but they enjoyed it and it was really fun! Found a nail in our tire so had to get that fixed before we went to twin, so what turned out to be our last squad lunch was a little rushed, sad face. Did exchanges on Friday, it was cool and felt good but also confusing and idk.  Got to visit Aunt Kay again and it was so sweet! I almost passed out though idk it was weird haha that's never happened when I fasted before. We got the tranfer board and I'll be going back to Pocatello, different...
